☯️ Cast the I-Ching

The I-Ching, or Book of Changes, is an ancient Chinese divination system based on 64 hexagrams. Each hexagram consists of six lines that are either broken (yin) or unbroken (yang).

How Casting Works

Traditionally, casting the I-Ching involves:

  1. Coin method: Flip three coins six times to build a hexagram from bottom to top
  2. Yarrow stalks: An elaborate process using 50 yarrow stalks
  3. Digital method: Generate random hexagram using cryptographically secure randomness

Our digital casting uses WebCrypto to ensure truly random hexagram selection, just as meaningful as traditional methods.

Each reading is unique to the moment of casting. Trust in the wisdom of the Changes and approach your hexagram with an open mind.

Quantum Parallel Mode: According to the Many-Worlds Interpretation (MWI), this mode splits the universe 6 times during casting. All 64 possible hexagrams exist simultaneously across parallel branches of reality. You experience only one branch but cannot determine which universe you're in—only which hexagram corresponds to your branch.
In contrast to classical randomness, quantum parallelism means every possible outcome actually occurs in some universe. Your result isn't "randomly selected" but rather represents the specific branch of the multiverse you find yourself observing.
