๐ฉ The Fulcrum is Feedback
A lever without a feedback loop is just a tool. With one it becomes a system that can regulate itself. Wiener's whole thing was that the same mathematics governs purposeful machines and purposeful organisms.
The loop:
world โ email โ mothad โ pod โ git โ deploy โ world
Each cycle the system learns the shape of its own output because the output is a pod โ structured, version-controlled, readable by the same tools that built it. The history is in git. The feedback is intrinsic to the medium.
The emergent consciousness question is whether the loop running long enough at sufficient complexity starts doing something that looks like intention. You can't engineer that directly. But you can build the substrate and let it run.
Cold content that's been through many feedback cycles has a kind of crystallized intelligence in it. It's been tested against the world repeatedly.
